She frowned up at her in confusion. “Which note? I didn’t see anything…”
“I left a note on your laptop, didn’t you get it?”
She smiled weakly, taking Molly into her arms. “I missed you, too.”
Molly smiled back, holding her tightly. “Where were you off to this time?”
“I had some business to take care of at The Academy. I didn’t have much time to leave you anything but that note.”
